I Have a Brain!
Cherry Carl                   Artwork: www.art4crafts.com

It helps me read,
and write,
and swing!
It helps me do most everything!

It helps me see,
and taste,
and smell.
Gee, my brain is really swell!

My Skeleton
Cherry Carl              Adapted from a poem by Sue LaBella
Artwork: iclipart.com

My skeleton is made of bones,
Lots of them, I know.
They’re in my arms and legs
And my fingers and my toes.

My skeleton holds me up
So I can walk and run.
And do lots of other things
That are so very fun.

My skeleton keeps growing
Right along with me.
I never want to lose it
‘Cause then where would I be?

I Can Breathe!
Cherry Carl                   Artwork: www.art4crafts.com

I can breathe under water.
I can breathe through my nose.
I can breathe when I’m eating,
When I’m smelling a rose.
Sometimes I breathe fast.
Sometimes I breathe slow,
But I’m always breathing,
Wherever I go!

Handprints from the Heart
(Tune: Pop! Goes the Weasel)
Cherry Carl

I leave my footprints on the floor,

My muddy handprints on the door!

You wipe away the dust and dirt,

And make me change my grubby shirt.

Soon you’ll miss those muddy halls,

My fingerprints upon the walls.

 I’ll make some mud pie. Then you’ll see . . .

You’ll really, really miss me!

You Put Your Right Hands Up!
(Tune: The Hokey Pokey)
Cherry Carl

You put your right hands up.
You put your right hands down.
You put your right hands up,
But don’t you wave them all around.
You hold onto your answers
‘Til the teacher calls on you.
That’s what the class should do! Oh, Yeah!

A Bad Hair Day
Tune: Row, Row, Row Your Boat)
Cherry Carl

Johnny chews some gum in school.

He disobeys the rule!

Now there’s gum on Teacher’s chair,

And some in Johnny’s hair!

He chews, chews, chews his gum.

He pulls it with his thumb.

Now his gum is everywhere,

But most is in his hair!
